Anytime we think of high-performance muscle cars with unique styling and rich heritage, we think of Dodge.
The Dodge brand is an American automaker and the world’s leading manufacturer of muscle cars. From the legendary Challenger to the rugged Durango, Dodge vehicles have continued to dominate muscle car segments.
For the 2022 model year, Dodge is creating higher-performance versions of its existing lineup, coupled with some slight updates to ensure the brand’s name stays alive and competes well in the automotive world.
On the brand’s electric future, Dodge has disclosed that it will begin rolling out EVs by 2024.
Over the years, we’ve seen Dodge discontinue most of its cars like the Caliber, Dart, Avenger, and many more. Sadly, the Grand Caravan and Journey have also joined this long list. This means that Dodge’s lineup is now down to just three cars; the Challenger, Charger, and Durango.
Here are the main updates in Dodge’s lineup for 2022
-
2022 Charger
The 2022 Charger will be a carry-over model with minor interior and infotainment upgrades. But we would see tremendous changes in its performance variants.
The award-winning Hellcat Redeye model of the Dodge Charger will witness an engine upgrade which will account for an extra 80-horsepower and 57 lb-ft. This elevates the Red eye’s power to a whopping 797-horsepower and 707 lb-ft of torque and a new top speed of 203-mph.
Dodge has also announced that it will build 100-units of the Charger SRT Ghoul. Each of these cars will feature a blistering 1000-hp supercharged 6.2liter V8 engine and cost around $200,000.

2022 Challenger
The Challenger will witness an infotainment upgrade to feature the latest version of the highly intuitive Uconnect infotainment technology. Dodge will also introduce a sportier suspension to help improve the Challenger’s ride quality.
-
2022 Durango
We expect some changes in the wheel design and infotainment interface of the new Durango. If this happens, then the Uconnect5 infotainment technology will come in all models of the 2022 Durango, including base models with the 8.4-inch display.
Dodge has also made it clear that we won’t see the performance-enhanced SRT Hellcat model of the Durango this year, as it was built exclusively for the 2021 model year. Hence, the 475-horsepower SRT 392 will be Durango’s highest variant for 2022.
